Maria Fernandez-Williams is Senior Counsel of the IBM Microelectronics Division. In her current role, Maria and her team over-see all legal aspects associated with IBM’s Microelectronics Division which includes Semiconductor and Packaging Process Development and Manufacturing, Sales and Marketing for the OEM Microelectronics business and all legal issues associated with several development and manufacturing locations. She leverages her technical, business and legal knowledge to structure, prepare and negotiate technology-related agreements for IBM’s Microelectronics and Research divisions, such as joint development, alliances, acquisitions and divestitures. Maria is also the worldwide education leader for the Law Department. Maria is Secretary and Development Committee Co-Chair on the Board of Latino Justice – PRLDEF; Member, Cornell Law School Alumni Association Executive; Vice-Chair, Fundraising Committee, Council of Urban Professionals (CUP) Fellows Alumni Board; and Member of the Advisory Board of the Pre Law Institute at John Jay College. She was a 2011 Council of Urban Professionals (CUP) Fellow.
