Silas A. Myers, CFA, is a co-founder and CEO of Mar Vista Investment Partners where he serves as a portfolio manager for the firm’s Strategic Growth, Select and Focus strategies and has more than 22 years of investment experience. His analytical emphasis is on industrial and basic materials stocks. Since founding the firm in November of 2007 with approximately $80 million in sub-advised client accounts, Mar Vista’s assets under management have grown to $1.7 billion.

Before starting Mar Vista, Silas spent seven years as a portfolio manager and analyst at Roxbury Capital Management. Prior to joining Roxbury, he was an equity analyst and product specialist at Hotchkis &Wiley. He began his career in operations management, reconciliation and settlements at Utehdahl Capital Management.

Silas has a B.A. in psychology and an M.B.A., both from Harvard University. He received the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 1995.

Silas is currently a member of the board of directors for North Asset Management, a London-based global/macro hedge fund and Eco Modity, LLC, a Los Angeles-based recycling company. His previous board seats include Clarksons Hedge Fund, Clarksons Shipping Hedge Fund and Arturus Capital, Ltd. He has been an active volunteer for the Riordan Scholars in Los Angeles over the years as well as other non-profit organizations in New York City and Boston.
