Ty Ahmad-Taylor is the Head of Smart TV services at Samsung after his social sports startup, FanFeedr, was acquired in October in 2012. Previously, Ahmad Taylor was the SVP of Strategy and Development at Viacom and Head of Cross Platform Products at Comcast Cable. Prior to that, he was an executive at MetaTV (acquired by Comcast in 2005) and Excite@Home, all after starting his career at the New York Times on the technology, death and destruction beat. A not-so-recent graduate of Haverford College (BS Economics) and Columbia University (MS Journalism), he has used neither degree for the last 18 years. He has served on the executive committee for UrbanWorld, the New York Digital District, President Obama’s AllForGood service initiative and the selection committee for NY CUP.
