Established in 1994, JazzReach is a nationally recognized New York City-based 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization dedicated to the promotion, performance, creation and teaching of jazz music.
Through the presentation of innovative, widely acclaimed live multi-media educational programs for young audiences (in grades K-12), captivating main-stage concerts for all audiences and informative clinics and master-classes for student musicians, JazzReach is fiercely dedicated to fostering a greater appreciation, awareness and understanding of this rich, vital, uniquely American art form.
Since premiering its debut educational program in 1997, JazzReach has successfully positioned itself as the nation’s leading provider of live educational content on the subject of jazz. The organization’s programs have successfully served and impacted well over a quarter million young people in over 85 U.S. communities and have garnered unanimous praise from arts professionals, students, teachers, parents, and the media alike.
2014 marked JazzReach’s 20th Anniversary! Consistent growth and stability, both artistically and organizationally, are evidence of the demand for our programs and of the national commitment to the mission of the organization. We’re now poised to enter a new phase in the organization’s life and history. The founding leadership remains visionary and the organization’s operations and finances are solid. The combination of a clear, well executed artistic vision and stable leadership allows us to be forward thinking and plan for the next decade. Board fortification and development are critical to the ongoing vitality and growth of JazzReach.
