Alvin Bowles, CEO for Grab Media, is responsible for spearheading and managing strategic development for the firm’s global growth. In August 2013, Bowles led Gab Media through an acquisition to blinkx, a publicly traded leading technology firm, headquartered in London. Based in New York, he reports directly to the CEO of Global Operations.Bowles joined Grab Media, a Softbank Capital funded venture from Viacom’s BET Networks, where as senior vice president – brand solutions, he led integrated sales and strategy efforts, including branded entertainment and original digital content creation and marketing. Before joining BET Networks, Bowles held various senior positions at Time Warner, AOL and Sony Music. He began his career at JP Morgan as a corporate financial analyst, eventually transitioning into media. Bowles earned his MBA from Harvard University Graduate School of Business, where he is active in Alumni mentoring students focused on entrepreneurship and business strategy. He received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from the University of Michigan. He serves on the Board of Directors for a number of civic-minded organizations and ventures.
