Mark Mason is Chief Financial Officer of Citi’s Institutional Clients Group (ICG), one of Citi’s two core business lines with $33 billion in revenues and $1.3 trillion in assets. In this role, Mr. Mason is responsible for all aspects of the ICG’s financial management – spanning a network of more than 100 countries and over $3 trillion of daily flows – including planning and analysis, control, treasury and overall balance sheet management.

Mr. Mason previously held a number of executive positions at Citi, including Chief Executive Officer of Citi Private Bank, Chief Executive Officer of Citi Holdings, and Chief Financial Officer and Head of Strategy and M&A for Citi’s Global Wealth Management Division.

He joined Citi in 2001 as Vice President of Corporate Development. He then went on to become Head of Strategy, Planning and Analysis, and then Chief of Staff to Citi’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. He also served as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer of Citi Real Estate Investments.

Prior to Citi, Mr. Mason was Director of Strategy and Business Development at Lucent Technologies, a Strategy Consultant with Marakon Associates, and has investment banking experience with Goldman, Sachs & Co.

Mr. Mason has been a Director of Primerica, Inc. since March 2010. He serves as a Trustee of Howard University where he received a BBA in Finance and graduated with Honors. He also holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Mark resides in South Orange, New Jersey, with his wife, Carolyn, his children, Chloe and Mark, Jr. and his dog, Spencer.
