College and Community Fellowship – Non Profit Partner Spotlight

What is your mission?

College and Community Fellowship is dedicated to assisting women who have criminal convictions achieve college and graduate school degrees as a critical step in their transition to fully-contributing members of society. CCF offers academic assistance, leadership opportunities, and peer and community support to women who are committed to maximizing their potential through education.

What makes your organization so unique in the non-profit space?

Our mission and continuum of services are unique, with a focus on long-term academic achievement and leadership development, in contrast to many re-entry programs which offer short-term transitional housing, substance abuse counseling and entry-level employment.  Our programs enable women to successfully return to their communities through a continuum of services that promote higher education as the solution to recidivism and persistent poverty.
