About the Organization:
The Council of Urban Professionals (CUP) works to connect, empower and mobilize the next generation of diverse business and civic leaders. We are a network of over 800 members across New York. Through programs and forums, we offer professional development, access to powerful decision makers and institutions, and opportunities for service and other forms of civic engagement. Our recent successes include: a board placement program matching our members to high-impact nonprofit and public sector board placements; a Fellows Program that trains and empowers emerging leaders; substantive work generating access to capital for minority and women led businesses; and our dynamic Distinguished Leadership Speaker Series, through which we educate and mobilize our communities.
About CUP’s Culture:
CUP is a New York-based organization, founded in 2007. Our offices are on Wall Street, in the heart of New York City. We are an entrepreneurial, growing organization with deep networks and highly engaged volunteers. Collaboration is key to the way we work: all staff members wear multiple hats.
