About the Organization:

The Council of Urban Professionals (CUP) works to connect, empower and mobilize the next generation of diverse business and civic leaders. We are a network of over 800 members across New York. Through programs and forums, we offer professional development, access to powerful decision makers and institutions, and opportunities for service and other forms of civic engagement. Our recent successes include: a board placement program matching our members to high-impact nonprofit and public sector board placements; a Fellows Program that trains and empowers emerging leaders; substantive work generating access to capital for minority and women led businesses; and our dynamic Distinguished Leadership Speaker Series, through which we educate and mobilize our communities.

About the Position:

Reporting to the Executive Director and working closely with the Board of Directors, the Director of Development will create and implement strategies for maximizing revenue from all potential sources, with a particular focus on foundation, corporate, individual and government giving.

While the Development Director is envisioned as a full-time position, for the exceptional candidate, we are open to considering some degree of flexibility in the work arrangements, such as a partial telecommuting work week and/or flexible hours.

Salary commensurate with experience.
