What is your mission?
Inspired by the legacy of Robert Kennedy, RFK Young Leaders (RFKYL) is dedicated to empowering young human rights defenders, and mobilizing a diverse community of young people to take action for social justice and human rights.
What makes your organization so unique in the non-profit space?
RFKYL is an all-volunteer program, made up of young people from a range of fields who share an entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for creating real change in their communities. RFKYL is all about action; it provides young people with opportunities to tackle human rights issues directly, and make a meaningful difference in their communities and beyond.
What is your organization up to at the moment & how can CUP Members be involved?
Currently, RFKYL is organizing with New York farmworkers to help them win basic rights.  We're working and meeting with farmworkers and advocates, and supporting upstate farming communities with basic necessities.  RFKYL is also educating and mobilizing hundreds of young New Yorkers through RFKYL Speaks Out, a speakers series that highlights and empowers young NYC activists.
RFKYL is always looking for talented, dedicated young people from organizations like CUP to become members! If you'd like to learn more, contact Sierra Ewert at ewert@rfkhumanrights.org
