Swetal Patel currently is Senior Director and Panel Leader of Global Mobile and Tablet initiatives at Nielsen, responsible for strategically leading and managing Mobile and Tablet consumer panels comprising Android and iOS measurement across North America, Europe and Asia. Swetal joined Nielsen in 2009 in the Brand Effect (TV Advertising) group, moved on to the Online business unit, and then to her present role in the mobile division. Prior to Nielsen, Swetal held various roles in digital marketing and social media agencies, as well as at an online retailer, working in partnership with clients such as Amazon, Facebook, JPMorgan Chase and numerous Fortune 500 companies.
At Nielsen, Swetal is a passionate and active contributor to the company’s diversity initiatives, currently serving as the National Chapter Leader in the Northeast Region for Asian American Link (AAL), and also as the Networking, Education and Engagement Leader for Women in Nielsen (WIN). In 2010, Swetal created and founded Nielsen’s Diverse Intelligence Series, showcasing the company’s Watch & Buy consumer intelligence and capabilities to external audiences including clients, industry colleagues and communities. She was recognized and awarded by the company’s key Diversity stakeholders including the Vice Chair and Chief Diversity Officer. The series has subsequently expanded nationally with plans to extend it globally.
She attended Wellesley College, and is an ardent supporter and attendee of the arts and cultural endeavors.
