Timicka C. Anderson is a Managing Director, and Head of the Consumer Retail & Healthcare industry team within Citi’s U.S. Commercial Bank, Global, and National Industries. She leads and oversees the 10 person origination and client coverage team responsible for Citi’s banking relationships with U.S.-based midsize clients operating in those industries.
As a banker focused on corporate finance advisory and adding new-to-bank clients, Ms. Anderson leverages over 17 years of banking experience with a comprehensive knowledge of Citi’s products and services, coupled with tested credit analysis expertise to originate new business, develop solutions, and manage these institutional client relationships. Ms. Anderson joined Citi as a Corporate Banking Associate in 2001 after receiving her MBA from the University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler Business School. She is knowledgeable of global markets, having worked with U.S. multinationals and clients domiciled in The Netherlands, Denmark, Hong Kong, Sweden, and India. Early in her career, she spent four years advising and structuring cross border financings in Citi Capital Markets’ Structured Asset Finance Group.
Before entering her current role in 2015, Ms. Anderson was a part of Citi’s Corporate & Investment Banking franchise as a senior banker covering a diverse portfolio of large and mega cap Consumer, Retail, Homebuilding, and Building Product companies. During her five years, she elevated Citi’s position with multiple clients in both the financing and transactional relationship.
Ms. Anderson gained broad product experience during her five years in Citi’s Global Transaction Services business. She had a variety of roles and experiences including Hedge Fund Services Product Manager, leading several strategic projects for the development of a fund of funds offering, and as a Senior Transactor in Trade Finance where she structured and distributed global supply chain finance deals for US multinationals and foreign subsidiaries.
Ms. Anderson’s influence at Citi extends beyond her day-to-day business management as she has served on the Corporate and Investment Banking Diversity Council, has acted as a Citi Women’s Leadership Development Ambassador, has been consistently active in the firm’s recruiting process, and has received the Corporate & Investment Banking Citizenship Award several times.
In addition to an MBA, Ms. Anderson also has a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Florida A&M University, which she received in 1997. Prior to business school, she worked as an engineer with Procter & Gamble.
